Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev won his first championship for 882 days with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult year, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in particular - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with former mentor Cervara.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden championship since the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt since March of 2023.
The win also indicates the Russian has secured 21 victories at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a championship is particularly special," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six finals, featuring in that event in the past months.
His retrieving play style and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had caused some to wonder if his capacity to play at the top level was finished.
But the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to approach the net and play assertively, supported by an better serve.
The champion fought back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the last five games to take the lead.
The pair traded service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden tour victory, took control to push for a decider.
The opponent rescued four initial chances in a competitive third set before the Russian broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, he clinched victory with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
